Wandering Monster

A savage wild turkey decided to visit my apartment building in Milwaukee on Friday:

I defended my demesne, driving the terrible beast away:

  1. You're lucky. In BC they normally appear in groups of 2d6, led by a 2HD turkey. Honestly, they're not that aggressive, but they are big, and there are more of them around every year. I think of dinosaurs every time I see one.

  2. When a wild turkey visits my home, typically it has come in a bottle of 101 proof.

  3. Apologies to Fish and Marillion:

"I was flicking through the channels on the TV
On a Sunday in Milwaukee in the rain
    Trying to piece together conversations
Trying to find out where to lay the blame

But when it comes right down to it there's no use trying to pretend
For when it gets right down to it there's no one here that's left to blame
Blame it on me, you can blame it on me
We're just sugar-turkeys in the rain"
