Im going off on my own tangent with a use of Ringworld mechanics. Ive been playing versions of BRP for 25 years and find adding complexity not always better.

Its a shame to ditch all of this time rested stuff that was one of best rpg products ever. I think the BRP book should have options to use d20 pendragon and d100CoC simplicity or go use all combat complexity with location hp and the works. This would be good for system family. I find complexity of "advanced" BRP is pretty maths challenging for many younger players with tasks like adding double digits. I have every player with own chart for specials and crits has sped up game lots.

Great to hear updated news - thanksKonsumterrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18170560484656800416noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7600974191399728636.post-64395858529063426612015-10-30T11:52:30.983-04:002015-10-30T11:52:30.983-04:00However, 13G will be published by Chaosium. However, 13G will be published by Chaosium.賈尼https://www.blogger.com/profile/03207671300903490067noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7600974191399728636.post-78738325339492049282015-10-30T11:50:46.238-04:002015-10-30T11:50:46.238-04:00I had heard that Pendragon was returning to Chaosi...I had heard that Pendragon was returning to Chaosium

This is not what Jeff said at THE KRAKEN panel; see my report here: http://2ndage.blogspot.com/2015/10/the-kraken-2015-report.html賈尼https://www.blogger.com/profile/03207671300903490067noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7600974191399728636.post-42894062143610023072015-10-30T11:50:05.152-04:002015-10-30T11:50:05.152-04:00My understanding is that neither Pendragon nor 13t...My understanding is that neither Pendragon nor 13th Age Glorantha are moving to Chaosium. (Unfortunately, I can't remember *where* I read that, but I'm pretty confident that that's the case, especially with regard to 13th Age.)Akrasiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08734103159691571156noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7600974191399728636.post-5684362715754972072015-10-30T11:15:21.372-04:002015-10-30T11:15:21.372-04:00Great summary of all the changes, thanks! I am still on the fence about RQ being the basis for the BRPE, but if they make BRPE a more simplified version of the rules, and keep the ability that the BGB had to scale your complexity I will be happy. I love RQ's complexity in principle, but in reality I ended up using Magic World for all my D100 fantasy gaming because it was more along the lines of what my groups like in terms of complexity, and I am sorry to see it won't be a supported product anymore.Doctor Futurityhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02586371999646337047noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7600974191399728636.post-1939249730393658722015-10-30T07:56:57.235-04:002015-10-30T07:56:57.235-04:00Thank you for this post.
