Speaking of Erol Otus covers...

I recently praised Erol Otus’s cover for the 1981 version of Basic D&D.  Less recently, I praised Otus’s work overall.

So it should come as no surprise that I’m pretty thrilled by the cover for the forthcoming second printing of Swords & Wizardry Complete:

  1. I have to agree that he is one of the genre's old masters whose illustrations brought the text to life. I posted some his art work, including a 'lost' picture in my look at the two 1st editions of Deities & Demigods.

  3. Actually, it's not just forthcoming, it's forthcome ... as it were. Several people already have the book in hand from the Kickstarter.

    1. I can't believe I missed the Kickstarter for this, Matt!

Looking forward to getting a copy once it's available to the unwashed masses.

  4. I hate hearing about FGG stuff. It's a case of 'I want!' but the shipping to the UK is always more than the cost of whatever it is I'm hankering after. They really need to sort out some sort of deal with a UK distributor!! If Goodman Games (and others including even Goblinoid Games) can do it so can they!!

  5. James Raggi at LotFP used to sell S&W products (that is where I got my copy of complete from) though the store no longer has any in stock.

I too would like to see more FGG products available in the UK, without paying ruinous postage costs
