Dangerous Dungeons!

Kellri is looking for people interested in contributing material to a supplement for OSRIC (the 1e AD&D 'retro-clone') tentatively entitled 'Dangerous Dungeons'.

I hope to contribute something myself, time permitting (alas, the caveat 'time permitting' is not a trivial one!). It looks like an exciting and cool project. Whether or not I manage to contribute something, I'm looking forward already to the final product.

(BTW #1, if you haven't checked out some of Kellri's free old school material, you should! Especially brilliant is his Classic Dungeon Designer's Netbook #4: Old School Encounters Reference.)

(BTW #2, the above amazing illustration is by Pete Mullen. It graces the back cover of the OSRIC corebook. I wish it was the front cover!)

  1. I love that illustration!

Being new to the OSR community (but not to the games themselves) it feels like the wheels are turning faster and faster on the development of OS materials. Or am I seeing something that isn't there.

  2. I think that you're write. In fact, it's quite hard for me to keep up on everything that is coming out these days for OS games. I still haven't read everything that I want to in the issues of Fight On! and Knockspell that I own, let alone other material.

  3. It's great to see. I expect it will become a larger and larger drain on my wallet, since I really want these publishers to succeed.

  4. I was obviously exhausted yesterday to have written "write" when I obviously meant "right"! *sigh*

  5. LOL It's alright, Akrasia. Try having English as your second language, and you'll see a LOT of those pop up in your posts unexpectedly *grr*.
