Finding the right RPG

I stumbled across this flowchart in the ethernet, and found it amusing enough to share it here (even though it's missing Chaosium's BRP and Stormbringer; grrr...).

The flowchart originally was posted at Inkwell Ideas.

  1. My favorite part is the branch with "What do you think of Gygax"? And the "Who?" answer leads you straight to D&D4. Hah! Love it.

  2. I am still annoyed that it counts Alternity as a 3e derivative, when Altenity is a point based system that 3e/d20 borrowed heavily from. BRP should also be on it, I agree.

  3. I guess they figured Call of Cthulhu would count?

  5. Yeah I'm angry about Warhammer too. Otherwise it's neat.

Given that one cannot even purchase WFRP at 'Warhammer shops', I would have to agree.

Perhaps. But the chart included 'Champions', 'Fantasy Hero', and 'HERO', so it seems only sporting that they would include both 'BRP' and 'Call of Cthulhu'...

Still a fun flowchart, though. :D
